Make your own, share, and download fonts with FontStruct

PrintRadar on November 7, 2009

FontSctruct is a free font building tool which gives you an opportunity to express yourself and create beautiful fonts out of geometrical shapes which are arranged in a grid pattern, just like tiles or bricks. Once you are done with your creation, FontStruct will generate high quality True Type fonts which can be used in any Mac or Windows application.

Although it is a free web based application, it requires you to register yourself as a member before you can start creating your fonts but that is very easy to do. Gallery offers some really interesting creations to explore and ultimately use other members fonts as a basis for your own variations of the subject.

A relatively new thing is a FontStruct Live which is basically a feed that shows all recent activity in the FontStruct community in one single place. There you can track new and updated FontStructions, comments on FontStructions and on the blog, updates on Twitter, etc. and you can individually select which types of activity you want to view which is a really neat feature.
